    125 All-Women Polling booths in Kamrup (M) Election district

    Training for women presiding officers and polling officials has been commenced from March 6 and will continue March 17

    GUWAHATI: In a bid to encourage female voters to exercise their franchise, the Kamrup (Metro) election district has considered for detailing 125 all-women polling booths for the third phase of polls in the state on April 6.

    All the officials engaged in such booths will be manned exclusively by women.

    The Kamrup Metropolitan Election District has detailed a total of 10 numbers of polling booths in Jalukbari LAC, 65 numbers polling booths in Guwahati (E) LAC, 20 numbers in Guwahati (W) LAC and 30 numbers of such booths in Dispur legislative assembly constituency.

    Meanwhile, training for women presiding officers and polling officials has been commenced in Kamrup Academy H.S. School from March 6 and will continue March 17.
