    13 Dead As Tourist Boat Capsizes In Andhra Pradesh’s Godavari

    The boat capsized in river Godavari near Mantur-Kachchulur

    In a tragic incident, at least 13 tourists died and 48 people went missing in a boat capsize incident in river Godavari near Mantur-Kachchulur in Devipatnam Block of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on September 15th, 2019.

    As per information, a double-decker tourist boat ‘Sri Vasista’ was on the way to tourist spot Papikondalu and it capsized near Mantur-Kachchulur at around 10:30 am. The boat was carrying a total of 61 tourists and 11 crew members. A total of 16 tourists swum across to the bank safely. The rescue operations are on to trace the missing persons.
