    14-Year-Old Wushu Player Dies After Collapsing During Practice In Charaideo

    Kashyap Gogoi had gone for his regular Wushu training session in the morning when he suddenly collapsed on the ground

    A pall of gloom has descended on Titalaghar village at Borhaat in Charaideo district as a 14-year-old boy died on August 25th, 2019 after he collapsed during a Wushu practice session.

    As per reports, the deceased Kashyap Gogoi had gone for his regular Wushu training session in the morning when he suddenly collapsed on the ground.

    A local said, “He was a good player as he won several medals in Wushu tournaments and it’s a huge loss for the village. After Kashyap collapsed on the ground, he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead.”

    Kashyap was a ninth standard student of Namrup Higher Secondary School and he had played for Assam in several tournaments outside the state. “His death is a huge shock for us,” said another local.

    Currently, his body has been taken to the Sivasagar Civil Hospital for post mortem.

    It may be mentioned, Wushu is also known as Chinese Kungfu and it is a hard and soft complete martial art. It is a full-contact sport and it has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts.
