    16 Staff Of Sukhmani Hotel In Guwahati Quarantined

    15 guests of the hotel are now under medical observation

    Following the detection of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tripura with a travel history in Guwahati, 16 staff members of the Sukhmani Hotel in Paltan Bazar, Guwahati are put under quarantine after it was reported that she stayed in that hotel.

    Sources said that she came to Assam on March 15th, 2020 and visited Kamakhya as well as Panda, Nogen Sharma’s house. Sharma’s maid is now reported to be facing health issues. She has now been put under observation and seven members of his family are being screened for medical complications.

    The woman then had booked the hotel, from March 16th, 2020 and left on March 18 and after this was reported,16 staff members of the hotel in quarantine by the district administration and 15 guests of the hotel are now under medical observation.

    The administration is now sanitization the hotel including the area. During her stay in Guwahati, she also visited Vishal Mega Mart in Paltan Bazar on March 17th, 2020.  The administration has taken steps to sanitize the entire building of the complex and also have asked the people who visited the building to take precautions.

    The people visiting the Vishal Megha Mart on March 17 are advised to visit a medical facility if they had any sort of medical issues here.
