From light-wash denim to corduroy, here are some trends to look out for this season

The year 2019 started with minimalistic styles, big bold designs, indigos, sustainable fabrics and back to basic taking the centre stage in runways across the world.

While men are likely to go for watches, light-wash denim and corduroy, women continue to search for statement pieces, bamboo structured bags and sustainable fashion. Designer Gaurav Gupta puts his money on more originality and innovation, according to a report in The Economic Times.

Here is a look at the trends you can invest in for a chic new you:

According to fashion gurus and entrepreneurs, designers have rediscovered the beauty of heritage fabrics, and Khadi has topped the list. From rough spun to the finest mulmul, expect to see the finest of khadis everywhere.

    Indigo is the New Black
Indigo is the new black. If black has ruled the hearts of everyone for decades now, indigo is here to take the place of black. Traditional block-printers in Jaipur are using the colour more than any colour now and this year, green indigo has been introduced which is making every girl go gaga. The colour is made with the addition of turmeric.

    Indian Accent
Indian accents should be your go-to fashion mantra for its richness and earthy feeling. Making a strong integration of Indian craft into mainstream retail brands such as Raymond and Wills Lifestyle, Indian accents have taken the market by rage.
