    19 Killed In Horrific Bus Accident In Tamil Nadu

    The bus rammed into a lorry truck near Avinashi town of Tirupur along the Coimbatore highway

    At least 19 people were reported dead in a fatal bus accident that took place today morning in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur area.

    A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) run Volvo bus with around 48 onboard rammed into a container truck in Coimbatore. The bus was moving towards Ernakulam from Bengaluru while the truck was coming from the opposite direction when the mishap occurred.

    The bus hit the truck near Avinashi town of Tirupur along the Coimbatore highway.

    The mishap was first spotted by the fire service personnel who rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers and the police were informed accordingly.

    The bodies have been retrieved and sent to the hospital for autopsy.

    As per initial reports, 23 passengers have sustained serious injuries. The officials fear the death toll might further go up.
