Guwahati: At least two persons were killed while two others were injured after a speeding car collided with a tree in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Friday night.
The incident took place at national highway no 31 in Bokajan.
The accident occurred while the victims were returning to Dimapur from Nagaland.
The deceased were identified as Suruj Ali and Itka Yeptu.
A police team reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and has started an investigation.
The bodies have been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem while the injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital, sources said.
