    28 COVID-19 Patients In Assam Recovering: Health Minister

    Assam has 30 confirmed cases and one death related to the virus.

    Out of the total 30 positive novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Assam, 28 patients are recovering and might soon be released from the medical facilities after their treatment is over.

    Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressing the press said that the active COVID-19 patients in Assam are slowly recovering but one patient who is suffering from cancer as well as some complications and can be termed as being in a serious state.

    He further added as of date, the state has more than 86 thousand PPE kits while there are 91 thousand N-95 masks.

    Apart from this, the state government has also launched a helpline number to help all the persons who are stranded in various locations. The persons who are in an emergency will be verified and accordingly help will be deployed.

    Along with the patients in Assam, one person who was recently tested positive for COVID-19 has been admitted at an ICU in the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for better treatment and a precautionary step. The patient is now stable and further treatment is being undertaken.

    So far Assam has 30 confirmed cases and one death related to the virus.
