4 seized trucks set ablaze by miscreants in Assam’s Kokrajhar

Guwahati: At least four trucked, seized by police, was set on fire by unidentified miscreants in Assam’s Kokrajhar district on Friday night.

The incident occurred in Simultapu village of Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar where police seized four trucks which were allegedly used to smuggle 40 cattle.

Police seized the truck and kept in the police station where some unidentified miscreants tried to burn those trucks.

Following the fire, police reached the sport and fire tenders were called to put off the fire. However, the engines of the truck were completely burned down.

Police has initiated in investigation to nab the miscreants involved in the incident.

It is also alleged that the incident was intentionally created by miscreants to defame the police as they used strict actions against the cattle smugglers in the area.
