4,739 Persons Home Quarantined In Bongaigaon

A total of 266 persons in Bongaigaon were quarantined while 4,739 were home quarantined in Bongaigaon as a precaution to keep the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in control.

The persons quarantined are said to be primary contacts of a positive case in the district.

266 will be quarantined in several hospitals, hotels, government guest houses and stadiums while the 4739 persons have been home quarantined under strict monitoring.

Four fresh novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were reported from Bongaigaon district of Assam on April 30th, 2020.

As per reports, the four new cases didn’t come in contact with any COVID-19 infected person. They will be shifted to the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Guwahati.

The four patients hail from Chaprakata, Amguri Part II, Swahid Bedi point and Railway Colony areas of Bongaigaon town.

Assam has registered 42 COVID-19 positive cases of which 32 have been discharged and one patient has died. At present, there are 9 active COVID-19 cases in the State.
