    7 HSLC, HS Candidates Expelled In Assam’s Hailakandi For Cheating

    The members of the flying squads caught the students red-handed while copying and expelled them

    Four candidates have been expelled on February 17th, 2020 in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC)/ Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) examinations in Hailakandi district of Assam.

    The students were expelled for adopting unfair means in the examination hall. Of the four expelled, one each is from Algapur Public HS School, Public HS School, Matijuri HS School and Rangauti High School.

    The members of the flying squads caught the students red-handed while copying and expelled them. Of the total 6,672 candidates, 6,562 were present while there were 110 absentees. 

    In the Higher Secondary final examinations on February 17th, 2020, three candidates were expelled. Of the three expelled, two are from Govt VM & HS School and one from Lala HS & MP School. Of the 2188 candidates, 2031 are present while 157 are absent. 

    The SEBA announced that any student found engaging in malpractice during the ensuing HSLC/AHM examinations will be expelled for three years.

    On the other hand, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council on February 10th, 2020 announced that the examinees of Class 12 final exam caught indulging in the malpractice inside examination centres will be barred for a year.
