8-year-old killed, father critically injured in road accident in Assam’s Baksa

Guwahati: An 8-year-old boy was killed and his father was left critically injured during a road accident in Baksa district of Assam on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Ananda Bazaar area when the father-son duo was travelling. Suddenly, the father lost his control over the car and it rolled over three times on the road.

The minor was killed in spot while the father sustained grievous injuries. Police reached the spot and sent the dead body to Mushalpur Civil Hospital for post mortem reports.

The deceased has been identified as Mrinmoy Medhi while the father was identified as Mrigen Medhi. Mrigen was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Reportedly, the duo was on their way to home in Ananda Bazar after attending a wedding in Roumari area of Kamrup district.

Meanwhile, police seized the mangled four-wheeler.
