The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has cautioned people to be aware of fraud job agencies and not to get misled by fraudulent advertisements. Unknown agencies have launched a fake recruitment drive for jobs at the upcoming Rupsi Airport in Lower Assam’s Dhubri district, the AAI officials mentioned.
“It has come to the notice of AAI officials at Rupsi Airport that some unknown agencies are operating fake recruitment drive through unauthenticated online/offline means for jobs at Rupsi Airport under the name of AAI. We want to clarify that there is no such recruitment process going on particularly for Rupsi Airport by AAI,” a statement mentioned.
It further mentioned, “Since the new Airport has been re-developed at Rupsi, many people especially youngsters are enquiring about the job opportunity and vacancies at the Airport. Earlier also, we have issued notices and releases on the same, but this time at Rupsi, it is occurring regularly and stakeholders have complained about the same.”
The AAI informed that for any recruitment/ job opening, people can check its official website www.aai.aero. “We do not have any agencies or consultancies which are hiring or recruiting people using AAI’s name and logo for jobs at newly constructed Rupsi Airport at Dhubri District in Assam,” the statement further mentioned.
The historic Rupsi Airport which had a significant contribution in World War II underwent major development changes from May 23rd, 2018 under the UDAN scheme of the Central government.
