AASU Is A Fallen Army: Assam BJP Minority Leader Mominul Awal

Awal said AASU has kneeled down before the infiltrated Muslims

The Assam BJP minority cell chief Syed Mominul Awal on September 11th, 2019, said that the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) is a fallen army. “The body has kneeled down before the infiltrated Muslims,” he said.

Slamming the AASU for its statement that Rahul Gandhi is the ‘savior’ of Assam, Awal said, “AASU and the Congress are the two sides of the same coin.” He questioned why the ‘savior’ Rahul Gandhi has maintained stoic silence despite the inclusion of lakhs of ‘infiltrated Muslims’ in the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) list. The final list was released on August 31st, 2019 which included a total of 3,11,21,004 persons and excluded 19,06,657 persons.

“People of the state are minutely observing the activities of the AASU. They will not forgive the body. The AASU leadership are now silent despite the exclusion of many genuine Indians and inclusion of many illegal migrants,” he said. He further appealed the body to work for the greater interest of the Assamese community.
