Guwahati: Two insane fire incidents that will surely live a deep impression in the minds of the people, who remain outside their houses for various purposes, maybe business, and service among others.
On Sunday, a fire broke out at MLA Terosh Gowala’s residence for the second time in a week, and this indeed raises certain genuine questions.
Whether it was an accident or a pre-planned conspiracy by miscreants to attack the family members of the Duliajan legislator in his absence?
MLA Gowala was in Guwahati for the autumn session of the Assam Legislative Assembly when the first fire incident was reported last Wednesday.
The cause of the two fire incidents however remains to be a mystery.
“Last Wednesday at around 7.30 pm, a fire broke out at the kitchen of my residence, however, with the help of local people the fire was brought under control. Again 10 minutes later, another fire broke out in another room at my residence. Soon fire tenders of Oil India Limited (OIL) rushed in and the local people also came to the rescue. I was in Guwahati at that time. After returning, I called experts from Assam Gas Company to check whether there was any leakage in the gas pipeline, but there was nothing as such. APDCL experts also visited my home to check if there was an electrical short. But there were no such incidents,” said the legislator.
On Sunday, another fire incident broke out inside the bedroom of MLA when he was outside his residence talking to some party members.
MLA Terosh Gowala while speaking to the media claimed that he feels like both the incidents cannot be a co-incident and alleged that some people or miscreants are behind his family and trying to hurt them by practising witchcraft through the use of magic spells.
“I urge the haters not to target my family members and my residence. If anyone has any grudge with me regarding anything, please come forward and sort it out with me,” added the MLA.
