    Adil Hussain wins the critics’ choice award for Best actor

    The winners of the third edition of Critics’ Choice Awards 2021 were announced on Sunday and the ceremony was hosted virtually.

    Guwahati: Assam actor Adil Hussain won the Critics Choice award in the category of Best Actor (short film) for his movie ‘Meal’.

    Meal is an eleven-minute-dialogue-less story about one houdehold, directed by Abhiroop Basu.

    Taking to Twitter about his win, Adil Hussain showed gratitude to his fellow cast member, director and the entire crew of the film.

    The winners of Critics’ Choice Awards 2021 were announced on Sunday. From Manoj Bajpayee to Pratik Gandhi, many of the films, web series and actors were honoured with an award under various categories.

    The third edition of the award function was hosted by Neha Dhupia virtually this year.

    Eeb Allay Ooo won the Best Film and Best Director awards in the Feature Films category. Anubhav Singh’s ‘Thappad’ starring Taapsee Pannu bagged the Gender Sensitivity Award.

    However, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story won the Best Series, Best Writing and Best Actor awards in the series category. It is to be mentioned here that Scam 1992 is currently #1 show in the world with 9.6 IMDb rating. It has dethroned Breaking Bad and Chernobyl to take the spot.
