Guwahati: Awareness program on digital banking was conducted in partnership with Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM) in Kamrup Metro.
The program was attended by Rahul Dev Mahanta, Director, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), RSETI, Kamrup Metro, Rani Dev Block, Kamrup, Gunajit Thakuria, BPM Rani, Rupankar Pathak, BC Rani, Palash Baruah, BC Rani.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Dev Mahanta said, ” Through Digital Banking, the government aims to provide maximum services with minimum infrastructure, and all of this will happen digitally without involving any paperwork.”
“It will also simplify the banking procedure while also providing a robust and secure banking system,” Mahanta added.
Mahanta further added, “People living in small towns and villages will find benefits like transferring money to availing loans with ease of applying it from anywhere or at the comfort of home 24×7 thereby government bringing the bank to their doorstep. This set up will not only benefit the common citizens but will also empower and make them powerful.”
Digital Banking Units are yet another big step in the direction of ease of living for the common citizens of Assam
