Guwahati: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Wednesday has advised the exam centres who have more than 400 candidates to take nearby academic institutions for maintaining Covid protocol.
In a notification, AHSEC stated, “It is for your kind information that Assam Higher Secondary Education Council is going to conduct Higher Secondary Final Examination, 21 in the month of July/August, 2021.”
The board has asked the examination centres to select any government or provincialised academic institutions as venues for maintaining Covid protocols.
Earlier, state education minister Ranoj Pegu said that the board exams of class 10, 12 in Assam will be held between august 1 and 15.
Both exams were initially scheduled for May 11. On May 4, the government announced that the exams would be postponed on the account of the rise in the COVID-19 cases and that the revised dates would be announced soon.
