Firebrand peasant leader Akhil Gogoi on February 2nd, 2019 was asked to vacate his room at the Assam Bhawan here. Gogoi was staying at the Room No 111 for the last two days.
Post addressing the media at the Assam Bhawan premises on Saturday, the authorities asked Gogoi to vacate his room, as per the latest reports.
As per information available, he was asked to leave the Assam Bhawan on the instructions of Sanjay Lohia, Principal Secretary to the Assam Chief Minister and Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi.
During the press conference, Gogoi urged the people of Assam to stage protests during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state next week.
