Amidst border row with Assam, Mizoram CM meets PM Modi
Guwahati: Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. The CM met the Prime Minister at his office in the Parliament.
The meeting between the duo was termed significant amidst the border tension between Mizoram and Assam. Recently, both the chief ministers of Assam and Mizoram
Both the leaders discussed issues pertaining to the state of Mizoram.

Zoramthanga said on Thursday that he and his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma have decided to increase the fencing along their inter-state border. Both the chief minister met each other in Delhi last week after the Union home ministry intervened on the matter,
“It was decided that both the states will constitute committees for resolving the border disputes through discussions,” said Sarma adding that chief ministers’ level talks will also take place from time to time.
