    Amidst COVID-19 Lockdown, 12 Special Planes Scheduled To Land In Guwahati On Tuesday

    On Monday eight flights landed at the airport and 686 passengers arrived in Assam

    At least 12 flights are scheduled to land in Guwahati LGBI Airport on Tuesday and the expected number of arrivals is 1200 amidst the ongoing lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Till 1 pm on Tuesday, the LGBI airport received five flights from various locations. The total number of passengers who landed at the Airport is 580.

    On Monday 8 flights landing took place in Guwahati with almost 686 passengers.

    A source informed that Guwahati on Monday handled eight flight landings and 686 persons belonging to various districts of the state de-boarded at the airport. Out of the total flights, four are from Delhi, one each from Bengaluru and Chennai, and two are from Imphal.

    The first flight landed at 9 am on Monday and following this, all passengers including the other flights were taken to a private hotel for medical screening. Persons who completed their screening were sent to institutional quarantine as per the norms of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, pregnant woman, children below the age of 10 and elderly persons above the age of 75 had the option of being home quarantined.
