GUWAHATI: Assam government’s education department has asked Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) to cancel the entire process of recruitment of junior assistant taken earlier and to undertake afresh process of recruitment.
The direction came after the education department had examined the inquiry report against various allegations and anomalies in the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet for recruitment of 31 numbers of junior assistant posts of AHSEC.
The official order said, “The Secondary Education Department is of the view that the procedure for recruitment of Junior Assistant under AHSEC is marked by anomaly and irregularity, which the government has viewed seriously. As such, you are requested to cancel the entire process of recruitment of Junior Assistant taken earlier and to undertake afresh process of recruitment.”
It has also asked the Council to kindly ensure that the process and procedure for recruitment of junior assistant afresh, must be transparent under the camera.
“You are further instructed to be more cautious and not to repeat mistakes in future,” it added.
The state government also said that it may consider assigning reputed organisations like Assam Institute of Management or Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University or any other Universities having a good record in the process of recruitment for the recruitment process.
