    Another CRPF Jawan From Assam Tested Positive For COVID-19

    He was posted in Delhi's Mayur Vihar

    Another Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan from Assam has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Delhi.

    The jawan has been identified as Gyanjyoti Lahon of Sonitpur who is posted in Delhi’s Mayur Bihar.

    Earlier another CRPF jawan from Baksa was tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Delhi. He was identified as Azahar Ali of Baksa’s Samranguri who is also posted in Delhi’s Mayur Bihar.

    He joined the CRPF in 2004 and has been posted in several places since then. Azahar has a wife and two children in Baksa. He has been quarantined in Delhi and is being treated.

    In April, 55-year-old Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel from Assam died due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

    It has been reported that the personnel is a sub-inspector (SI) rank official and belongs to Barpeta in Assam. He was admitted at the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi after he was detected positive of the virus.

    The jawan was serving at the 31st battalion of the force which is based in Delhi. He is the first reported death among the 10 lakh personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) or the paramilitary forces.
