Assam: 4th semester student goes missing in Guwahati

Guwahati: Amid reports of two Assam Police Personnel and youth joining the banned militant outfit ULFA-I came to the limelight recently, another speculation making rounds in the media that youth from Hatihal Borgora village under Talap Police Station in Tinsukia district of joining the insurgent group.

According to reports, one Abhijit Gopal Borah, son of Ramesh Borah has been reported missing amidst Magh Bihu celebrations (Uruka Night) this year.

The family members of the missing youth claimed that Abhijit went for a Bihu shopping in the evening hours and didn’t return back home.

Sources informed that Abhijit and his family is battling the financial crisis for the past couple of years. Moreover, his wife is 7-months pregnant.

It is also learned that Abhijit operates his own four-wheeler vehicle (Tata Sumo) on hire for earning his livelihood. Reportedly, he used to drive passengers from Kardaiguri to Doomdooma link road, informed the family members.

Meanwhile, the family members of the missing youth have appealed to him to return back to his home.
