Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Bora took a jibe at the special DGP Assam police GP Singh after the main accused of Jorhat lynching case Neeraj Das aka ‘Kola lora’ (black boy) died on Wednesday around 1 am at Cinamara Khariya Chuk while attempting to flee police custody.

During an NSUI candidates’ felicitation program here in Guwahati, Borah said that they wished the punishment for the guilty should have been processed legally, however, it didn’t.

“This is the failure of the state police department. Most of the time, the police failed to produce the criminals before the court as they escapes custody. Later, police frame it as ‘encounter’ or road accidents to hide their failures,” said Bhupen Bora.

Bora also urged the top Assam cop to apply Newton’s formula at the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland.

This comes after, GP Singh on Wednesday tweeted saying, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction – Newton’s Third Law.”

The Congress chief further suggested that the same formula should be used by the Indian Government at Pakistan and China borders as well.
