    Army Jawans Jump In Water To Save Drowning Woman In Barpeta

    Both the jawans are from 9th Jat Regiment

    Two alert Army personnels deployed in Barpeta District of Assam displaying utmost bravery rescued a woman from drowning. The act has garnered heaps of praises for the Army men.

    The Indian Army PRO in Guwahati took to Twitter and lauded both the jawans identified havildar Ashok and subedar Layak Ram for their exemplary leadership and the exceptional act of bravery which saved a life.

    As per reports, the incident took place on Sunday near the Patbausi village in Barpeta when the ‘mentally disabled’ woman reportedly jumped off from a bridge and fell into the river.

    The incident was first spotted by a local resident. He immediately sought help for the Army men and they started their rescue operation.

    Both the jawans are from 9th Jat Regiment.
