Around 14 Girls Trafficked From Northeast To Saudi Arabia

Around 14 girls hailing from the Northeast region including states of Assam, Tripura were trafficked and sold to Saudi Arabia, this sensational revelation came after the Lucknow police had busted a major trans-national human trafficking racket and arrested the kingpin where she confessed the same after her arrest.

The arrestee identified as Amna Begum confessed that out of the 14 girls who have been trafficked to the Arabian country, seven were from Tripura and that the girls were trafficked by luring them of profitable jobs.

As per sources, the victims were mainly taken to Dubai in the name of lucrative jobs but were physically and sexually exploited.

It may be mentioned that on April 10th the Lucknow police had rescued a girl from Tripura while she was about to be trafficked to Dubai in the name of a profitable job and arrested a human trafficker.

As per reports, the human trafficker Amna Begum had offered the victim Rs 20,000 to work in the middle eastern country.

Meanwhile, a police team has already left for Mumbai tracing the call records of the trafficker.
