Guwahati: A man allegedly killed his two-year-old son in Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh, the official said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday at around 9 pm.
The accused, identified as Ashok Kumar, was arrested from the Jung Kharsa area.
As per sources, Kumar runs a grocery shop near the Tri-junction on Brigade Road.
After the crime, Kumar was reported absconding and officials had alerted all check gates.
The culprit was detained by the district police and official also expressed gratitude to the residents of West Kameng and Tawang for helping with the investigation.
A preliminary investigation is underway. More details are awaited.
