Arunachal Pradesh: Indian Army helicopter crashes in Bomdila, 2 pilots missing

Guwahati: The Indian Army’s Cheetah helicopter crashed in the West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday, officials said.

As per sources, the chopper crashed near Mandala, West of Bomdila town in the state.

The helicopter was on an operational sortie, reportedly lost contact with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at nearly 9.15 am, PRO Defence Guwahati confirmed.

Meanwhile, the pilot and co-pilot on board are missing. 

The Indian Army and local authorities have launched a search and rescue operation. Further details are awaited.
