In a tragic incident, two female students died and three others sustained injuries after the wall of a residential school fell down due to the massive landslide in the Northeastern(NE) state Arunachal Pradesh on July 11th, 2019.

Incessant rains have triggered landslides and have thrown normal life out of gear in Arunachal Pradesh.

The deceased have identified as Rinchin Lhamu(10), a student of class V and Genden Wangmu (10), a Class VI student. Another student,  Sange Pema (12) of class VII sustained grievous injuries.

About 19 girl students were at the residential school when the landslide occurred around 3.15 am.

It may be mentioned that torrential rains, flash floods and landslides have wreaked havoc in several parts of the state in the past 72 hours washing away several dwelling houses, bridges, roads.

The Bhalukpong-Charduar-Tawang road in West Kameng district have remained closed for the fifth day on July 11th, 2019 due to the massive landslides at several stretches of the road.
