GUWAHATI: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal will be on a one-day visit to Guwahati on April 2.
Kejriwal will be accompanied by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and the duo will address a party workers’ convention here.
As per sources, the leaders aim to give a major to boost AAP’s preparations for the Assembly elections in the state scheduled later this year.
Taking to Twitter, the official account of AAP Assam wrote, “On April 2nd, Sunday, National Convener of AAP, CM Delhi Sri Arvind Kejriwal and CM Punjab Sri Bhagwant Mann will be visiting Assam, to share their plans for the development of Assam and it’s people.”
“We urge the people of Assam to join Arvind Kejriwal & Bhagwant Mann so that Assam gets one healthy alternative to BJP, official added.
Meanwhile, AAP has committees in each of the state’s 31 districts, having grown from a minor influence in the state.
