Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, at least one person was killed and 14 others were injured in a road accident in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Sunday.
The incident occurred at Longvoku in the Manja area, when the vehicle was heading towards a picnic spot at Manja from Morigaon. As per sources, the accident was caused by a suspected brake failure.
Following the accident, one person in the vehicle died on the spot, while 14 others sustained injuries in the incident.
The deceased person was identified as Rakesh Kru.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem, while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Further investigation is underway.
