Assam: 1 minor killed, another injured by speeding car in Doboka

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, one minor girl has allegedly been killed and another left critically injuring during a road accident in Doboka town in Hojai district of Assam on Sunday.

The incident occurred when a speeding vehicle hit both the girls on National Highway no 36. One girl died on spot while another was grievously injured.

Reportedly, both the girls hailed from Sarupathar and came to visit their relative’s home in Haldighati in Doboka.

The four-wheeler fled the scene after hitting both the girls. However, the identity of the duo is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the injured victim has been rushed to Hamm Hospital and Research Centre in Hojai for medical attention.

Police reached the site and sent the body of the deceased for post mortem reports. An investigation has also been initiated to nab the culprit.
