Guwahati: In a heinous case of child sexual abuse, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped seven months ago by two members of her family, including her paternal uncle and his son and impregnated her. 

The incident took place at Uriamghat in Dhansiri Subdivision in Assam’s Golaghat district.

As per sources, the incident occurred when the victim visited her uncle’s place to harvest the paddy.

The matter came to light after her medical examination revealed that she was six months pregnant.

Following the incident, the victim’s family lodged a complaint with the police at Uriamghat police station.

As per the complaint, police have arrested two accused. Meanwhile, the survivor was sent for a medical examination.

Further investigation is underway.
