    Assam: 2 killed in a road mishap in Dhubri

    The incident took place around 8 am when the sand-laden tractor tried to flee from after seeing the enforcement team of MVI

    Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed in a road mishap on National Highway-17 at New Panbari area under Bogibari Police Station in lower Assam’s Dhubri district on Sunday.

    The incident occurred when a sand-laden tractor-trolley collided head on with a bus.  The bus was proceeding from Dhubri to Goalpara and several persons were injured in the accident.

    The deceased were identified as Abdul Hussain (20) and Gyasuddin (37), who were the driver and helper of the tractor.

    According to report, the incident took place around 8 am when the sand-laden tractor tried to flee from after seeing the enforcement team of Motor Vehicles Inspector (MVI).

    The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Kokrajhar Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
