    Assam: 279 Road Traffic accidents during Holi

    The state has witnessed around 279 road traffic accidents that have been attended to by Mritunjay 108 Services during the two days.

    Guwahati: During the Holi celebrations in Assam, the state has witnessed around 279 road traffic accidents that have been attended to by Mritunjay 108 Services during the two days.

    On March 28, 2021, the state has recorded as many as 101 road accident cases that have been attended to by Mritunjay services. Kamrup (Rural) has topped the list with 15 accident cases, followed by Kamrup (M) with 8 cases and Barpeta and Sonitpur with 7 cases each.

    The least number of accidents on the day was reported from Lakhimpur with no such incidents, followed by Karimganj, Majuli, Chirang, Karbi Anglong, Hailakandi and Sibasagar with 1 case each. 

    On March 28, 2021, the state witnessed 178 accident cases. On that Udalguri and Cachar have topped the list with 14 accidents each, followed by Barpeta at 13 and Kamrup (Rural) and Sonitpur at 12 accident cases each.

    Meanwhile, Silchar reported no accidents during the day, however, the least accidents were witnessed from Karbi Anglong and Chirang with one such cases each.
