Assam: 3 ENNG militants apprehended in Tinsukia; arms and ammunition recovered

Guwahati: At least three militants of the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) were apprehended by security forces in Assam’s Tinsukia on Friday.

Based on specific input regarding the presence of an ENNG cadre, a team of Special Task Force (STF) of Arunachal Pradesh launched a joint operation along with Tinsukia police. An extensive search of the area was carried out.

During the search operation, three militants were apprehended from SK Point in Tinsukia by the joint team.

The arrested cadres have been identified as Aehon Ngodam, a resident of Pongchau, Tirap district, Awany Ngodam and Hongam Ngodam, both the residents of Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh

Meanwhile, a .32 pistol and two magazines were recovered from the arrested militants.
