    Assam: 3 killed in 2 road mishaps in a day

    In a horrific road accident, two people died at Rangjuli in Goalpara district in a collision between a swift desire and a passenger bus on Tuesday.

    GUWAHATI: Atleast, three people were killed in two different road mishaps in Assam on Tuesday.

    In a horrific road accident, two people died at Rangjuli in Goalpara district in a collision between a swift desire and a passenger bus on Tuesday.

    One of the deceased was identified as Biju Pokhrel Sharma, Convener of IT cell in Goalpara district and was a BJP worker. The other was identified as Dalim Kalita.

    According to reports, the incident took place when the passenger bus, travelling to Goalpara collided head on with a four wheeler, which was on its way to Boko.

    The locals came to the rescue and sent both the victims to Rangjuli hospital where they succumbed to death.  

    However, in a similar incident in Tinsukia on Tuesday morning, 1 person died and 3 were severely injured in a road mishap.

    The deceased Himanshu Moran, was learning driving on Hatigarh bypass in an vehicle from Nitai Driving School in Tinsukia when a speeding truck collided with them. The truck fled from the incident.

    The locals sent the victims to the Tinsukia hospital. Meanwhile, the Barekuchi Police started an investigation regarding the matter.
