Assam: 7 truck with 102 cattle heads seized in ; Nagaon Nine held

Guwahati: Atleast nine persons arrested by Assam police on Friday for allegedly smuggling cattle from Dhemaji to Nagaon and Nagaon to Shillong.

In Nagaon, police rescued 102 cattle heads and seized seven vehicles.

Assam Police detained nine persons, rescued 102 cattle heads, and seized seven vehicles. Cattle were allegedly smuggled from Dhemaji to Nagaon or Jorabat, as well as from Nagaon to Shillong, said official.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
