    Assam: 87-year-old woman burnt to death in Kharghuli

    The house of the woman was also gutted in the fire. However, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

    Guwahati: In a tragic incident, an 87-year-old woman was charred to death at her residence in Kharghuli area of Guwahati on Wednesday morning.

    The victim, identified as Dhanamaya Biswakarma was burnt while she was sitting near the fire in the morning hours.

    It is known that, the house of the woman was also gutted in the fire. However, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

    Meanwhile, fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flame. Police too reached the spot and started to investigation on the case.

    Earlier on January 5, two kids were charred to woman death in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
