    Assam: Admission allowed for girls in Sainik School in Goalpara

    Earlier defence minister Rajnath Singh had approved the proposal for admission of girls in Sainik School with effect from academic session 2021-22.

    Guwahati: For the very first time in the history of Sainik School, Goalpara, it has been decided that girls can enrol themselves in Class VI from the academic session 2021-22.

    The admission will be granted based on entrance examination to be held on January 10, 2021.

    The admission form for the 2021-22 academic sessions was released on the website: https://aissee.nta.nic.in and the last date for submission of the application form is November 19, 2020.

    To prepare the talented girls from an early stage to serve the nation by joining Indian Defence Services, the school will arrange for the necessary infrastructure, education and adequate training to impart wholesome growth in the girls of the region.

    In a press statement released by Defence PRO, it is mentioned that, “The school looks forward to welcoming girls who have the passion and zeal to prove their mettle by joining our Defence Forces.”

    The entrance examination will be conducted at an all India basis by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
