    Assam: Akhil Gogoi’s mother hospitalized for second time

    Guwahati: Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) chief Akhil Gogoi’s mother Priyada Gogoi has been hospitalized for the second time on Tuesday morning as her health deteriorated.

    It may be mentioned that she was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes for few months. Her health deteriorated since Akhil Gogoi was arrested in December 2019, after taking active participation in the anti-CAA movement.

    Priyada Gogoi was recently admitted to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital on February 9 after she suffered an increase in blood sugar levels along with vomiting, loose motion, and problems with her vision.

    On Tuesday, she was again admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital where she is being kept under observation.

    Meanwhile, Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi’s mother Dulu Gogoi was also hospitalized on Monday after she suffered a stroke caused by blood pressure.

    Akhil Gogoi is contesting the Assam Legislative assembly election from the Sivasagar constituency, while, Lurinjyoti Gogoi is contesting from two constituencies of Duliajan and Naharkatia.
