Assam-Arunachal Police Held Crucial Interstate Coordination Meet
Guwahati: In a bid to maintain peace and law and order situation under control, Assam police held a crucial interstate security coordination meeting with its counterparts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Chaired by Assam police Chief Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, the meeting was also attended by various intelligence agencies and security forces. It was held on Wednesday in Dibrugarh.
Mahanta said, “It’s a very important step towards creating a safe, positive and conducive atmosphere between the two states and its people.”
Amidst tension along with Assam-Mizoram borders, firing incidents also took place recently along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh borders. However, no harm happened.
Assam and Arunachal Pradesh have agreed to find an out-of-court solution to their inter-state boundary dispute.
