Assam Assembly to be adjourned for 30 mins for Lovlina Borgohain’s bout
Guwahati: The proceedings in the Assam Assembly would be adjourned for thirty minutes on Wednesday during the semi-final bout of Lovlina Borgohain at the Tokyo Olympics.
Borgohain will lock horns against world champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey in welterweight women’s boxing contest, tomorrow.
The Assam pugilist has already assured India of another Olympics medal after defeating Chinese Taipei’s Nien-Chin Chen in the quarter final of women’s welterweight category.
She is a three times World Boxing Champion bronze medalist and is the first women from Assam to represent India in the Olympics.
