Guwahati: The body of a man, who had been missing since November 23, was found in the Bongalmari Ghat in Assam’s Dhemaji district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bipul Buragohain, a taxi driver.
According to sources, Buragohain’s body was recovered along with his car from the ghat near Dhemaji town.
The body and the car were recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Dhemaji Police.
It may be mentioned that Buragohain had gone missing on November 23, said sources.
His family members had filed a missing report at the police station.
Earlier, the Dhemaji Police had arrested a woman from Lakhtokia village in connection to Buragohain’s missing case.
However, Buragohain’s family members claim that the entire incident is a pre-planned murder.
