Assam CM announces series of developmental projects in Guwahati

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced several developmental projects in Guwahati.

CM Sarma made the announcements while inaugurating the new ‘art-bridge’ in supermarket in Dispur area.

The 1.21 km long T-shaped double-lane flyover, which cost Rs 127-crore, connects Janata Bhawan to Downtown and Supermarket to Last Gate in the city.

After inaugurating, CM said that a new flyover will be constructed in Guwahati’s RG Baruah road connecting Geetanagar.

A six lane ring road is being discussed which will connect Sipajhar and Kuruwa. A new flyover will also be constructed in city’s Chanmari area.

Moreover, four bridges will be constructed over Brahmaputra River.
