Assam: CM Sarma to release his book to mark one year in office
Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to release a book on his days in the office as a CM to mark the completion of one year of his government in May.
The book named “Chief Minister’s diary” is likely to be a chronicle of his days in office and events of the government in the first year of the BJP led government under him.
On May 10, 2021, Sarma was sworn in as the chief minister of the state.
Sarma told media, “The book will have details of how I spent time in official work and how the office of chief minister and government functioned in the last one year. It’s an attempt to minimize the distance between the common people and the government. In the book, people can have a glimpse of how the government functions.”
Events like the state government’s tirade against drugs besides waiving of micro finance loan are likely to be featured in the book. The CM has already authored a couple of books.
