The development came after family members of Arnab Goswami approached CM Sonowal intimating that there is not enough security provided to him.

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday dialed his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackrey requesting him to ensure safety and security of senior journalist Arnab Goswami.

The chief minister took Twitter to announce the information. He wrote: “Talked to Maharashtra CM Shri Uddhav Thackeray ji and requested him for adequate security arrangements for renowned journalist Arnab Goswami. I talked to him as Mr. Goswami’s family members approached me and intimated that there is not enough security provided to him.”
