Assam Cop bags 3 medals at The World Police and Fire Games

Guwahati, August 14: Pallavi Das of the Assam Police Archery team has made India proud by winning 3 medals at the ongoing World Police and fire games.

The games are being held at California and Pallavi won the 2 Gold medals at the field and archery events and 1 Silver medal in Target Archery event.

Earlier, Assam Police’s archer Bhimuma Brahma had won 2 Golds and one silver medal at the same games, in 2015.

The World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) is a biennial athletic event, open to active and retired law enforcement and fire service personnel throughout the world. The WPFG Federation is an arm of the California Police Athletic Federation (CPAF) an American non-profit organization.

The Games attract approximately 10,000 entrants, slightly fewer than the Summer Olympic Games, and exceeding the third position holder, the Commonwealth Games.
