    Assam: Crime branch arrests 4 with counterfeit currency

    The crime branch of Guwahati police on Sunday arrested four persons who allegedly circulated counterfeit currencies.

    Guwahati: The crime branch of Guwahati police on Sunday arrested four persons who allegedly circulated counterfeit currencies.

    The four accused were identified as Nazrul Hasan, Afzarul Rahman, Nizamuddin and Hamid Ali.

    The crime branch seized currencies worth Rs 10 lakh along with fake currency printing machine, two-wheeler, and expensive mobile phones.

    The accused were arrested by the crime branch team from a rented place in FA Ahmed path, Panjabari, where they ran the illegal trade of counterfeiting currencies.
